Third Place at RoboCup International - Eindhoven, Netherlands

POLIBATAM-The Batam State Polytechnic Robot Team won third place at the international level in the Robosoccer 2024 event held in the Netherlands in July. This achievement is certainly very proud of the Polibatam campus because it succeeded in making Indonesia proud in the world-level robot soccer competition against teams from other developed countries.

“Alhamdulillah, our students are able to excel at the international level,” said Mr. Eko Rudiawan as the Supervising Lecturer.

After successfully delivering Polibatam students with the team name “Barelang FC” to become the 3rd winner of the 2024 International Robosoccer level in the country of the Windmills.

The Polibatam Robot Team “Barelang FC” won two awards at this event, namely 3rd place in the Kid-Size Category and 3rd place in the Technical Challenge Category.

Here are also the details of the categories won by the teams that won the event.

Kid-Size Category

1st Place: CIT Brains - Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan

2nd Place: KURA - Khalifa University, United Arab Emirates

Juara 3 : Barelang FC - Batam State Polytechnic, Indonesia

Technical Challenge Category

1st place : ICHIRO - Sepuluh November Institute of Technology, Indonesia

2nd Place: RO:BIT - Kwangwoon University, Republic of Korea

3rd Place: Barelang FC - Batam State Polytechnic, Indonesia

Congratulations were also delivered by Dr. Muhammad Zaenuddin as Wadir 3 of Polibatam.

“Alhamdulillah, congratulations and success to the entire team of students and their supervisors. Keep up the spirit to work and achieve,” said Zaen.

Wadir 1 Polibatam Ahmad Riyad Firdaus, Ph. D gave a speech, “Alhamdulillah, Great achievement Polibatam”.

Hopefully, this proud achievement in the field of Robosoccer or a soccer match where each player in the match is represented by a wheeled robot at the international or world level can continue to motivate Indonesian children to continue to make Indonesia and the Polibatam campus proud.
